Our Mission
The world's data is fragmented across thousands of sources — exchanges, government filings, regulatory bodies, central banks, and private institutions. Each source uses different formats, update frequencies, and access methods. Black Bear Labs exists to solve this problem. We are building the infrastructure to achieve a singularity of data: every meaningful data point on the planet, accessible through one unified API.
How We Do It
Collection
We connect to hundreds of data sources worldwide — stock exchanges, central banks, regulatory filings, government databases, economic agencies, and alternative data providers. Our ingestion pipelines run continuously, capturing data the moment it becomes available, whether it's a new corporate filing on EDGAR, a rate decision from the RBI, or real-time tick data from the NSE.
Aggregation
Raw data from disparate sources is cross-referenced, deduplicated, and merged into coherent datasets. A single security might have data scattered across multiple exchanges, clearing houses, and rating agencies — we bring it all together. Our aggregation layer resolves entity conflicts, fills gaps, and creates a unified view that no single source can provide on its own.
Standardization
Every data point is transformed into a consistent schema with uniform naming conventions, data types, timestamps, and units. Whether you're querying Indian equities, US treasuries, or European forex rates, the response format is identical. No more wrestling with incompatible date formats, currency conventions, or field names across different providers. One schema to rule them all.
Delivery
Standardized data is served through a high-performance REST API with sub-100ms response times, WebSocket streams for real-time feeds, and bulk download endpoints for historical analysis.
